Children are welcome here, and we cut children's hair from age one. The children's cut covers ages 1 to 11, and the teens' cut covers ages 12 to 16.

Children's haircuts in Calgary, from age one
A children's cut and blow-dry, for ages 1 to 11, is $32.50 before GST. It is booked for an hour with Sabine, Berta or Fariba, and the blow-dry is part of the price. Children are welcome at the studio, and we cut from age one.
Put your child's age in the booking so the right service is chosen. For a first haircut, bring a photo of the length you have in mind. Tell your stylist anything that will help: a stubborn cowlick, a ticklish neck, or a child who is nervous around scissors. Berta works in English and Spanish, so Spanish-speaking families can ask to book with her.
Teens' haircuts, ages 12 to 16
A teens' cut and style, for ages 12 to 16, is from $36.50. A cut and blow-dry is $52.75. Both are booked for an hour. Teens often know exactly what they want, so let them bring the photos and explain the look. Your stylist will say what suits their hair and what will take work at home.
For a grad, an up-do is from $69 and is booked for 90 minutes. The blow-dries and up-dos page has the details.
Getting a young child ready for a first haircut
A few small things make the visit easier. Tell your child beforehand what will happen, in plain words. Choose a time of day when they are usually rested and fed. Sit where they can see you. It is normal for a small child to wriggle, so there is no need to apologise for it.
Bangs grow out quickly and fall into small eyes. A bang trim is $10.85 and is booked for 30 minutes, which makes it a quick stop between full cuts.

Is there parking for a visit with kids?
Yes, there is free parking right outside the studio at 2905 Richmond Road SW. If you would rather walk in, a chair has to be free at the time, so booking ahead is recommended. Our opening hours are on the contact page.
What if we are running late or need to change the appointment?
Please give us 48 hours' notice to cancel or change a booking. Call or text 403-242-4230, or ask Bella in the chat. If you are running late on the day, call or text and the team will do their best to still fit you in.
