Just west of the shopping strip
Struktur Studio is on Richmond Road SW, about four minutes' drive west of 33 and 34 Avenue SW, the heart of Calgary's largest and busiest outdoor shopping strip. We are not on the strip itself, so instead of circling for street parking, there is free parking right outside our door.
The mix of restored early-1900s buildings and newer infill retail along the strip draws people from across the inner city, and plenty of them keep driving a few minutes further west to us.
A Marda Loop neighbour since 2008
The strip takes its name from the old Marda Theatre, a movie house that stood at 33 Avenue and 20 Street SW from 1952 until it was demolished in 1989; the name lives on across the neighbourhood. Ute opened Struktur Studio in 2008, and the studio has been on Richmond Road SW ever since.
It's the walkable commercial core for South Calgary, Altadore and Garrison Woods, which is part of why so many of our regulars come from those communities too.
